10 icebreaker games that don't feel like icebreakers

Meeting new people is awkward. These games skip the small talk and go straight to the funny stuff.
The problem with most icebreakers is that they feel like a corporate seminar. Nobody wants to share a fun fact about themselves. People want to laugh.
The trick is to use games where the content comes from the players, not from a question deck. Two Truths and a Lie works because the stories are real. WhoLiked? works because the videos are real.
For a new group, start with a light mode like Fresh, which only shows recent likes. Once people are comfortable, move to Who Saved or Vintage for the deep cuts.
Other ideas that work: Guess the Playlist, Phone Roulette, and the classic Would You Rather. Keep rounds short and let the group decide when to escalate.
